The Freedom of Expression Institute has now "dIsconnected" its comments section for 3 weeks! Na'eem Jeenah has given us no indication regarding when it might return together with my posted comments.
The Freedom of Expression Institute is really The Freedom of Censorship Institute! A truly Orwellian NGO.
If readers of FIX THE FXI have any idea when The FXI might decide to put it back on-line....then please vote in the poll.

Dear Na'eem Jeenah,
I hope that you don't consider this email to be "spam".
As you know, I am doing everything I can to ensure that The FXI re-connects its comments section.
I have discussed this matter with IT"S ALMOST SUPERNATURAL and have received the following reply , which I think that you would agree, is extremely encouraging.
"Haloscan is a free very secure commenting service that can be added to any site/blog. Maybe the FXI should use it? Its impossible to hack their site through haloscan."

While the FXI themselves are probably not aware of the underlying technologies used, surely their ISP can do a little more than just disabling comments. Rather upgrade the version of Joomla to a more recent, and patched, version?
And surely it takes way less than a week to do so.
The longer it takes to fix, the more weight they give to the argument that they're not too interested in people commenting on their website; read into that as you will.
Pardon me, three weeks.
Jonathan,
I have forwarded your comment to The FCI.
However, unfortunately Jeenah considers my emails to be "spam" so it is unlikely that he will take any notice of your valuable technical assistance.
